Agra Fort

The 94-acre fort has a semicircular plan; its chord lies parallel to the river Yamuna, and its walls are seventy feet high.

The Agra Fort (Qila Agra) is a historical Mughal fort in the city of Agra, also known as Agra's Red Fort. It served as the main residence of the rulers of the Mughal dynasty until 1638, when the capital was shifted from Agra to Delhi.

Fatehpur Sikri

The city came to be known as Fatehpur Sikri—"The City of Victory."

It was abandoned by Akbar in 1585 and was later completely abandoned by 1610. The reason for its abandonment is usually given as the failure of the water supply, though Akbar's loss of interest may also have been the reason since it was built solely on his whim
